Our Story
Educating Minds, Inspiring Hearts
Established in 2019, Eastern Tech Hub began as a collaborative space for forward-thinking individuals passionate about technology and innovation. Over the years, we have evolved into a dynamic innovation hub, driving progress through creative problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge research. Our story is defined by a commitment to empowering innovators, building strong networks, and shaping the future through technology-driven solutions.
2019
In our early days, we started as a small group of tech enthusiasts, at Adweso, collaborating on innovative projects and building a supportive community focused on learning and growth.
2020
After a year of remarkable growth and increasing membership, we transitioned from our original Adweso base to a larger, more modern facility. This move enabled us to expand our programs, welcome more innovators, and better serve the needs of our thriving tech community. Patnerships were formed with some industry giants like Social Enterprise Ghana, Reach for Change, MDF Africa Ghana Tech Labs
2021
In 2021, Eastern Tech Hub began sharing its working space with GIZ, fostering greater collaboration and resource sharing. As time went on, Hubtel also joined the community, further enriching the hub’s ecosystem and expanding opportunities for innovation and partnership.
2022
In 2022, Eastern Tech Hub was selected by Fondation Botnar to conduct research in Koforidua as part of the global 'Our City Initiative.' Our team engaged with local stakeholders, gathered data, and explored innovative solutions to improve the well-being of young people in the city. This project positioned Koforidua among a select group of cities worldwide, highlighting our commitment to impactful, community-driven research and international collaboration.
2023
In 2023, the Kofkro project as part of the 'Our City Initiative' by Fondation Botnar, was launched by Star Ghana Foundation. This milestone was followed by the introduction of TechTown Koftown, an innovation hub spearheaded by Eastern Tech Hub to further empower local youth and foster technological advancement in Koforidua.

Eastern Tech Hub’s mission is to promote the socio-economic development and competitiveness of the Eastern Region througgh innovation, to increase the Eastern Region’s economic growth and global competitiveness by providing attractive physical and virtual spaces for nurturing innovation and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Our Vision
Eastern tech Hub is committed to innovatively implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)through tech and entrepreneurial support focused on creating a pipeline of investment ready startups (more than 70% women-led firms), and linking young people to employment opportunities.

Who we are
Your Innovation Hub
Eastern Tech Hub is an innovative space located in the Eastern Region of Ghana, with its primary base of operations in Koforidua, the region's capital and most popular settlement.
Eastern Tech Hub’s vast experience in youth training and entrepreneurial support has led to partnerships with Fondation Botnar, GIZ, Digital Transformation Center Ghana, Ghana Tech Lab, Soronko Academy, hosting of the Kosmos Innovation Center’s AgricTech Road show and currently the regional lead for Social Enterprise Ghana (SE Ghana).
